What is home to you?
With this question four students from different fields interviewed different people in Rotterdam. During the interview we "coded" or "tagged" anecdotes we heard according to a predetermined list of themes. The list was colour coded, so we did this using coloured pencil to colour in a picture of each participants hands.
After having conducted over twenty interviews, we sat down to go over all the different responses and look for common thread. Our reflections on the interviews, and the actual stories of our interviewees were collected into the Handbook for Home, our final project.

As the only student coming from an illustration degree, I was responsible for the book design and binding, as well as contributing the concept of the colour coded interviews.
